Overview

On Saturday, June 1, from 6 to 10 p.m., ITS will apply monthly security and critical OS updates on the Linux servers.

 

Benefit: The latest Linux security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Linux and associated services. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware and hackers.

 

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service. Each service will be unavailable for approximately ten minutes during the maintenance window.

Overview

On Friday, May 31, 2024, ITS will apply critical Oracle patches to the FPPRD and FWPRD databases. These critical security updates ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance will run from Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. During the patch process, there will be a brief interruption to all services that connect to the Oracle databases. 

 

Benefit: Upgrading the Oracle FPPRD and FWPRD will ensure our databases remain secure. 

 

What Can You Expect

The following applications and services will not be available during upgrading: 

 

  • Cash Offset for GL
  • CFS Crosswalk
  • Change Oracle Account Password
  • CSU Accounting Line for GL
  • Gator pass
  • Independent Contractor for Auxiliary
  • Prorate
  • Registration Appeal
  • Scheduled Jobs for Cashnet
  • Short-term loan

Overview

ITS will be performing required maintenance on the SFSU OneCard system, which resides at SF State, on Thursday, May 30th, from 8 to 9 p.m. The OneCard system will be unavailable during this time.

 

Benefit: This upgrade will improve both security and reliability of the OneCard system.

 

What Can You Expect

 

The SFSU OneCard system and various Integrations will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

  • Pinnacle Door Control updates (doors will still function, but no changes can be made to the system)

The maintenance will run until Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. During the patch process, there will be a brief interruption to all services that connect to the Oracle databases. 

 

Benefit: Upgrading the Oracle OIMPRD and IRDMPRD will ensure our databases remain secure.

The latest Windows security patches fix vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.  

 

What Can You Expect 

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server reboots. During the maintenance window, each server will be unavailable for less than 10 minutes.

Overview

ITS will upgrade the OnBase Production Oracle Database at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17, and conclude the upgrade and testing/verification by 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024.

 

Benefit: Increased security, support, and preparation for future OnBase upgrades.

 

What Can You Expect

OnBase will be unavailable during the upgrade. At 5 p.m. Friday, any active users will be disconnected. OnBase will be back up and working by 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

Overview

The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtown maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platform Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. This downtime will occur on Monday, May 13, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply a patch.

 

Benefit: This patch will resolve a Financial Aid issue from April 26's maintenance patch.

 

What Can You Expect

Campus Solutions (CS) will not be available during the maintenance window. Affected applications include: 

 

- Accept Admission Offer 

- CPaGE Quick Admit 

- Gator Scheduler

Overview

Avaya Workplace will conduct a maintenance window on Monday, April 29, from 7 – 10 p.m. to collect the finest logs from the AADS servers.

 

 

What Can You Expect

This maintenance window may impact some Avaya Workplace softphone users. During the log collection, users will not be able to log in to the Avaya Workplace softphone app. All users who were already logged in prior to the maintenance window will not be affected and can process and receive calls normally. There will be no impact on desk phone users or voicemail.

On Saturday, May 4, ITS will upgrade the wireless controller to resolve known vulnerabilities per the vendor's recommendation. 
 

Benefit 

The upgrade will reduce security vulnerabilities on the Campus Wireless Network. 
 

What Can You Expect 

Campus Wi-Fi service will be down during the maintenance window between 5 am and 7 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
